The Very Secret Diary of Aragorn, Son of Arathorn Day 33:
Orcs killed: Countless thousands. V. good.
Boromir killed by Orcs. Bummer. Though he died bravely in my arms, am now quite sure that he was very definitely gay. Entertaining. Read em in order. See also Lord of the Rhymes.

Last night, along with the somewhat creepy(but well-timed) Peace on Earth and Black Adder's Christmas Carol, we watched a bootleg of 1978's Star Wars Holiday Special. Awful does not begin to describe it. I can honestly say it's the worst hour and a half of television I've ever seen. Merry Christmas everyone.

Have any of you had yerba mate tea? The kind that you put into a gourd and drink through a bombilla? The stuff looks like something they'd be drinking in the Star Wars cantina. I'm considering it as a replacement for my morning coffee. . . .
Hey, did you hear there's a new Lord of the Rings movie out? Saw it last night. Not bad at all, save for the stairboarding and constant yammering about "the women and children"[must... resist... urge to rant] bits. . . .
I've been resisting the purchase of a cell phone for several years now. Last week I finally caved. Picked up a sidekick, although in all honesty I'll mostly be using it for internet access, you know, for the important things. Like last night at the Hard Rock, where I was able to answer the burning question of who it was that sang The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead(it was XTC).

Tonight, eight tiny baby Seaman burst from the nautilus. I coo'd at them and gave them tickles while maintaining the heat and oxygen levels in their environment. I wonder how many will live. They do not talk yet, but I expect them to begin doing so within several days.

Good god, Ripping Friends is awful. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Maybe that Bakshi fellow wasn't such a good influence after all, eh? Sealab 2021, on the other hand, makes it all worth it.

Did You Know? While googling for the history of the push-up popsicle, I came across something even cooler. A Food History Timeline. . . .
Just in case you didn't catch this elsewhere, do make a point to visit hubcap creatures. |
