Any of you seeing funky behavior with the new build of Safari? On occasion pages are loading completely screwy for me. Misrendering, huge text, things like that. Happened with flummox.com and freaked me out. Refreshing the page didn't help, but quitting and relaunching Safari did.

Still getting the Spinning Wheel of Death now and then. Can't tell yet if this build is more or less reliable than the last. At this point it seems to be less, but we'll see with a bit more use.

Tabbed browsing is great, I've missed not having it. Noticed that center-clicking(cmd-clicking) a link will open it in a new tab behind the currrent, and center-clicking a folder in the bookmarks bar will open every contained bookmark in tabs. Handy little features, but Safari seems to choke if I cmd-click a well laden bookmarks folder and start mucking about the tab bar immediately after doing so. If I let all the pages load before doing anything, it works fine.

[Update: trashing the com.apple.Safari.plist file seems to have fixed most of the problems, at least so far.]

All in all, I'm [not as] hesitant [as I was before] about the new build.

Every now and then I'll get a request for desktop-sized versions of the foto pics. Generally I reply with an apology saying that the images at that size would be grainy, pixelated wonders, that my camera is only 1.3 megapixel and a cheap 1.3 megapixel at that, blah blah blah.

Last night I wiped and reinstalled the system on my wintendo. Whenever I drastically alter or upgrade an OS, I always change my desktop picture. Unfortunately, I've forgotten all the good sources for that kinda thing, so I broke down and made some. And to be honest, they more or less are grainy pixelated wonders, but hell, that's all the rage these days.
