Wow, someone from Seychelles visited this page. Until this week, I didn't even know there was a Seychelles.

Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean.

The Coco de mer(double coconut) is a palm tree found only on the Seychelles Islands. The coco de mer fruit has 2 lobes and looks like 2 coconuts joined together. The fruit takes 10 years to mature, and can weigh up to 50 pounds, making it one of the largest fruits in the plant kingdom. The shells were found floating in the ocean long before anyone knew where they came from, and they were thought to have magical properties.
Seychelles has one internet service provider.
The climate of Seychelles is of the warm, humid tropical type with a strong maritime influence.
An Aldabra tortoise, Geochelone gigantea, living on Bird Island in the Seychelles, is thought to be the world's largest free-roaming tortoise, weighing in at a hefty 305 kilograms (672 pounds).
Seychelles' basic foreign policy is that of "positive nonalignment."

For several years, I really thought there was a country called Parador. How strange that nobody ever talked about that film when "Dave" came out. It's the same damn film.

I wish they'd spent a couple of days teaching us about life in tiny countries. What's it like to live in a tiny country? Are they basically just big cities, or cozy counties?

Hell, I didn't even learn a THING about Canada while I was in school. Until I saw Strange Brew, I though all Canadians spoke French. Forget tiny countries.

No kidding. It's even worse for me, I moved in the middle of my first year of junior high school. In Nevada, half the year is Geography, the other half is Nevada History. My new school had the classes flipped, so I completely missed Geography and took Nevada History twice.

If it weren't for Risk and Axis and Allies I'd have been screwed.

Hi...
I guess this makes me the SECOND person from Seychelles to visit this page...-(And a real "Seychelloise"; that's an "island girl" for you!))
(Actually, we have TWO internet service providers; and the Coco-De-Mer is THE largest seed in the world!)
Hope you don't mind me updating the few facts posted here... ;-)
Living in the islands beats the heck out of big cities, but that's just my biased opinion!! And our "Seybrew" rates pretty high with the visitors.
You should visit sometime...!
