Don'tcha hate it when you buy a bag of instant burritos only to discover that all the burritos are frozen against each other, fused together into a sort of burritobrick that you have to slam repeatedly against the counter, hoping not to shatter the rest of the lot before one finally pops loose? I hate that.
Been playing MechAssault on Xbox Live. Fun enough game, the whole voice communication/trashtalking aspect of Live really adds to the experience. While the interface and community aspects of Live itself could use a lot of work(especially the clunky friends list, organizing games, and so on), the core of the service is great, and that's really what we're there for anyway.

Posted by: Chris on November 26, 2002 05:29 PMI used to play Mechwarrior 3 (and 4, until all the cheats made their way in) on MSN gaming zone all the time. I got so sucked in that I joined a league, got on a unit and actually got into the whole pseudo-military aspect of it. At one point, I was getting up at 4 in the morning to practice with team members in Europe.
God, was that wrong. Just wrong. I'm terrified to try out MechAssault.
