The Av's blowing a 3-1 series lead surprised me even more than the ducks beating detroit. Is there enough of a hockey following in vegas for the city to support an NHL team?

Posted by: ricecakes on April 23, 2003 08:09 PMYeah, we were completely blown away by the Wild winning that series. They are the team I'm rooting for to go all the way now that Detroit is out, but god only knows who's gonna actually win this series.
Not a huge hockey following in Vegas.. I'm not sure if this town could support a professional team in any sport.. people tend to consider Vegas more a 'place to live for now' and less 'home'. We'll see tho, maybe in the future.

I think i made it to 1 game before they left but it was a blast... Nothing like watching an all out brawl on ice
