I'm betting that it will be further north. Maybe something like the Stardust? I wonder if someday that they'll have to take the strat down? Or if because of it's size/location that it's guaranteed a type of immortality due to it's difficulty in demolishing?

Yeah, Stratosphere will probably stick around for a while, although that's probably what everyone said back when the Landmark was built.

Good guess with the Stardust. Maybe with the completion of the monorail we'll see more people heading up that way; I wouldn't be surpised to see some rebuilding then.

Heard something on the radio this morning about them building some mega resort where the frontier stands now.

Honestly most of the places i've read about lately are well past their prime.

Imagine my surprise as I drove down the strip today and saw the La Concha(main lobby) still standing. They apparantly just tore down the motel part of it and left the lobby and giftshop open. Some construction guy told me they had 6 more months to live. Snapped some pictures of it for old times sake...
