Shot in the dark, but anyone of ya own or live in a house downtown?
Personally, I'm rooting for revitalization, and am considering buying a house in the area within the next year. Would love to hear about the experiences of anyone who has already done so. Google has failed me on this issue.
The Las Vegas Mercury has had a few articles on the topic. A few of their staffers live downtown. I know that they are planning on renovating some existing structures and turning them into storefronts/lofts. The old Bread building(the name escapes me now) on charleston is one of the locations.

Posted by: Chris on December 13, 2003 07:48 PMThey plan on making it into a 2 story soho-type arts building w/ business/museum/gallery's downstairs and the lofts upstairs. Sounds cool. There was a piece in the RJ about it last week with some pics.
